and Chuck Coursey are the principals of Coursey &
Company, Connecticut’s premier public affairs
communications firm founded by Mary Coursey in 1994.
For the past fifteen years they have specialized in
developing winning grassroots campaigns and effective
media outreach strategies to communicate with elected
officials, policy makers, stakeholders and the public.
During
this time, they have managed public affairs campaigns
for nonprofits and businesses representing healthcare,
energy, development, manufacturing, retail and educational
organizations.

Over the past fifteen years, Mary and Chuck have managed over one hundred public affairs campaigns in the Northeast.
Mary served as the Co-Chair of the 2004 Komen Connecticut Race for the Cure and in 2006 both she and Chuck served as the 2006 Co-Chairs of “THE BIG MO,” Riverfront Recapture’s annual fundraising gala. She is the founder and first Board Chair of The Connecticut Family Theater and currently serves as a Corporater for the Hartford Public Library, Hartford Hospital and the American School for the Deaf.
Chuck served three terms on the West Hartford Town Council from 2003 - 2009, serving as the Deputy Mayor from 2007 - 2009. He was a leading advocate for the Blue Back Square development project through two overwhelming referendum victories and multiple court victories and, as Chairman of the Council’s Administration and Technology Committee, was responsible for town oversight of the project’s construction. |
