Mary and Chuck Coursey are the principals of Coursey & Company, Connecticut’s premier public affairs communications firm founded in 1994.

Together, they have specialized in developing winning grassroots campaigns and effective media outreach strategies to reach and move elected officials, policy makers, stakeholders and the public. Over the past fifteen years, Mary and Chuck have managed over 100 public affairs campaigns in the Northeast.

Mary is a past Co-Chair of the Komen Connecticut Race for the Cure and past Co-Chair of Riverfront Recapture’s annual fundraising gala, “THE BIG MO.” She was the Founder and first Board Chair of The Connecticut Family Theater and currently serves as a Corporater for the Hartford Public Library, Hartford Hospital and the American School for the Deaf.

Chuck currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Playhouse on Park and is a past board member of the West Hartford Chamber of Commerce, Boundless Playgrounds and the Noah Webster House. He is also a Past President of the College of the Holy Cross Club of Greater Hartford.

Chuck served three terms on the West Hartford Town Council from 2003 – 2009, serving as the town’s Deputy Mayor from 2007 – 2009. He was a leading advocate for the Blue Back Square development project through two overwhelming referendum victories and chaired the council’s subcommittee that was responsible for town oversight of the project’s construction.

Both Mary and Chuck have been honored by The Hartford Business Journal as “40 Under Forty” honorees, an award that recognizes young business leaders who have achieved success in business at an early age while giving back to their communities.

Mary and Chuck reside in West Hartford and are the proud parents of five children.
