Mary Brennan Coursey and Chuck Coursey are the principals of Coursey & Company, one of Connecticut’s premier public affairs communications firm founded in 1991.
Together, they have specialized in developing winning communications strategies, grassroots campaigns and effective media outreach strategies to reach and move elected officials, policy makers, stakeholders and the public.

Mary is a past Co-Chair of the Komen Connecticut Race for the Cure and past Co-Chair of Riverfront Recapture’s annual fundraising gala, “THE BIG MO.” She was the Founder and first Board Chair of The Connecticut Family Theater, a past Board Member of the Hartford Business Improvement District and currently serves on the organizing committee for Winterfest Hartford and as a Corporator for the Hartford Public Library and Hartford Hospital.
Chuck Coursey joined Coursey & Company in 1994 and has specialized in generating support and approvals for high profile economic development projects.
Chuck served three terms on the West Hartford Town Council from 2003 – 2009, serving as the town’s Deputy Mayor from 2007 – 2009. He was a leading advocate for the development of Blue Back Square and chaired the Town Council’s project construction oversight committee.
Chuck is a founding Board Member and Board Member Emeritus of West Hartford’s Playhouse on Park, President of the West Hartford Public Library Foundation and a Board Member of Hartford Interval House. He is also a Board Member of the West Hartford Chamber of Commerce and chairs the Chamber's Economic Development Committee.
Chuck is also Past President of the College of the Holy Cross Club of Greater Hartford and was chosen to represent West Hartford as the town’s Honoree in Hartford’s 2011 St. Patrick’s Day Parade.
